The FBI has made a potential breakthrough in the search for Nancy Guthrie.

The 84-year-old mother of *Today* anchor Savannah Guthrie was declared missing on Feb. 1, after she failed to show at a friend's home in Tucson, Ariz., where they planned to watch a church live stream. The FBI has since partnered with local law enforcement to investigate her disappearance, which is being treated as a crime.

On Sunday, the FBI claimed to have recovered a glove that "appears to match" those worn by a masked and "armed individual" who was captured in surveillance footage outside Nancy's home. An FBI spokesperson told PEOPLE that approximately 16 gloves have been recovered around Nancy's home, which was declared a crime scene in the wake of her disappearance. But one particular glove with a "DNA profile recovered is different and appears to match the gloves of the subject in the surveillance video."**

The glove in question was discovered by field agents by the side of a road roughly two miles from Nancy's home near East Skyline Drive and North Campbell Avenue, the spokesperson said. Most of the others have been ruled out in connection with the case, after being shown to have been discarded by agents assisting in the search.

The discovery comes in the wake of a disappointing update on Saturday. Investigators with the Pima County Sheriff's Department revealed that DNA found at the home does not match Nancy or anyone in her immediate circle.**

There are developments on the potential suspect from the surveillance footage, which the the FBI and the Sheriff's Department released on Tuesday. That footage, scraped from Nancy's Nest doorbell camera even though she did not have an active subscription to the service, depicted an individual wearing a mask and gloves "appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie's front door the morning of her disappearance," per a social media post from FBI director Kash Patel.

After the Bureau upped its reward for information that leads to Nancy's recover to $100,000, it shared the results of "forensic analysis of the doorbell camera footage," which yielded the following suspect profile: "male, approximately 5'9" - 5'10" tall, with an average build... wearing a black, 25-liter Ozark Trail Hiker Pack’ backpack."
