Nikki Glaser recently recalled the time Leonardo DiCaprio sent her a surprising gift, a nod to her Golden Globes joke about him. The comedian shared that it both impressed her and made her jokingly wonder about pursuing a fling with the Academy Award winner. At the event, Glaser, while joking about DiCaprio’s dating pattern, brought up a past magazine interview with the latter, in which he revealed his favorite food was pasta.

On “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”, the host of “Lovers and Liars” spoke about hosting the Golden Globes for the second time. While discussing the challenge of coming up with jokes about celebrities, she revealed that she would always send flowers to those she poked fun at after each hosting gig. Nikki Glaser added that, of all the people she sent flowers to, Leonardo DiCaprio was the only one who responded.

The comedian further stated that she was struggling to find material. This is because she didn’t want to joke about his notorious dating pattern, noting how it’s been done numerous times. “That joke’s been going on longer than his current girlfriend’s been alive,” she continued. Glaser added, “It’s truly been around forever. I was like, I don’t want to do it.”

Recalling that she couldn’t make fun of anything else about him, Glaser revealed that she and her team did some digging and found a 1991 Teen Beat magazine article in which DiCaprio said, “pasta…pasta and more pasta,” when asked about his favorite food. She also used this information in her opening monologue for this year’s Golden Globes.

Glaser added that the “One Battle After Another” star sent her three baskets of pasta as a thank-you gesture. “So funny. So good,” she added. “Part of me was like, ‘Does Leo want to smash?’ I was like, ‘All right.'”

“The type of girl he goes for, he wouldn’t send pasta to,” she speculated. “Like, it was, like, a dry pasta. I think the company was like ‘Mena Pasta.”

The FBoy Island presenter then jokingly suggested that her gift would be different if DiCaprio were truly interested in her.

“Spaghetti O’s — maybe I would have been more his type,” she shared. The comedian further added, “A crib full of Dunkaroos and Go-Gurt, I would have been like, ‘Oh he’s into me.’ He dates young girls. I can’t stop!”
