Becky Shaw marks Ball's Broadway debut after years of theater work across the U.S.
The play, which earned rave reviews, runs through June 14
Dr. Robby and Dr. Langdon may not be on the best of terms on The Pitt, but there's nothing but love between the actors who play them!
As a point of proof, Noah Wyle showed his support for Patrick Ball on Wednesday, April 22, stopping by the Second Stage's Hayes Theater, where Ball is currently making his Broadway debut in the hit dark comedy, Becky Shaw.
After the performance, Wyle, 54, greeted Ball, 36, backstage, with photographer Bruce Glikas capturing the two pals and costars as they shared a laugh and posed together for a smiling pic.
The two also posed with the rest of the Becky Shaw cast: Madeline Brewer, Alden Ehrenreich, Linda Emond and Tony Award winner Lauren Patten.

Wyle is in New York City doing press for The Pitt, and for the Time 100 Gala on Thursday, April 23.
While he's in the city, Wyle might want to make a visit to the Circle in the Square Theatre to see the hit Bobby Darin biomusical Just in Time — which is currently starring Isa Briones, who plays Dr. Santos on The Pitt.
Briones, unlike Ball, has been on the boards before. The actress, 27, made her Broadway debut in 2024 playing Eurydice in Hadestown, and appeared in last season's Off-Broadway hit All Night (among other stage credits).
She also comes from a musical family. Her mother, Megan Briones, and younger brother, Teo Briones, are both actors, as is her father, Jon Jon Briones, who last starred as Hermes opposite his daughter in Hadestown.

Meanwhile, Wyle has a long history of stage work, but has never appeared on Broadway before. The Emmy-winning actor has worked with the Los Angeles-based Blank Theatre since before his screen career began, and served as the company's artistic producer from 1998 to 2008.

Becky Shaw officially opened on April 6 to rave reviews.
Directed by Trip Cullman, the razor-sharp dark comedy marks the Broadway debut of two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Gina Gionfriddo's acclaimed play, which first made waves during its earlier Off-Broadway run and has now transferred to the Hayes Theater at Second Stage for a limited engagement through June 14.
The story follows a seemingly simple blind date that goes wildly, and painfully, off the rails, setting off a chain reaction among a tightly wound group of friends and family members. Equal parts cringe comedy and social satire, the play skewers modern romance, class anxieties and the lies people tell themselves in the name of love.

Though Becky Shaw is Ball's first Broadway role, he's not a stranger to the stage.
"I'm a theater kid at heart," he explained during a visit to 3rd Hour of Today on April 7. "The Pitt is my first try at TV, but I spent 10, 15 years working in theater all across America. And I never got a chance to do Broadway; I never got a chance to come to the big show. And so, 16-year-old me is kicking his feet right now."
Tickets to Becky Shaw are now on sale.
