President Donald Trump spoke on Sunday to ABC News about the situation in Iran and whether he still thinks he will get a peace deal.
"It’s going to be very good," he said. "They are either going to do it or they are going to have problems. We’ll see what happens."
The interview came amid continued negotiations and after the U.S.'s and Iran's mixed messages on Saturday over which country exercised control over the Strait of Hormuz, the vital shipping waterway off Iran's coast.

The U.S. has a blockade in place, but Iran said on Saturday its navy was moving to control the passage. Iran fired on at least two ships on Saturday, according to a maritime monitoring agency.

"They committed," Trump added on Sunday. "They have already violated that because shots were fired. That’s a violation of the ceasefire. A very serious violation of it. But they haven’t fired it since. We’ll see what happens. It’s going to go fine."
Trump, whose public claims about potential deals have previously been at odds with those made by Iranian leaders, was also asked about whether he would still be able to secure a peace agreement between the U.S. and Iran.
"It will happen. One way or another. The nice way or the hard way," he said. "It’s going to happen. You can quote me."
