Tyler Perry is remembering the time he shattered his collarbone while trying to enjoy a nice bike ride.
The filmmaker explained that the accident occurred when he was shooting the third installment of his Why Did I Get Married? film series, titled Why Did I Get Married Again?, in Lake Como, Italy, last year.
"I went for a bike ride in Elba and flipped over the handle bars, broke my collarbone, had to have surgery," Perry explained on Thursday's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. "It was terrible."

The concerned host asked Perry if he had to go to the hospital in Italy to treat his injuries, which the Madea creator confirmed.
"Worst mistake in my life," Perry remarked. "If you're ever in Italy — God, I love my Italian people, but don't go to the hospital there."
He went on to detail the brutal moment a member of the medical staff put him in a clavicle brace to stabilize his injury.
"This guy, he looks at me, he says, 'I can fix. I can fix,'" Perry recalled. "And he puts the strap on me, pulls... I screamed so loud, man, I think I woke up everybody in the whole country. It was awful."
He continued, "I didn't know it was broken and it separated in two places and he was trying to pull it together with no pain meds. Nothing! So I got drunk as hell, got on the plane, and came back to America and had surgery."

Kimmel was surprised by Perry's negative review of the Italian healthcare system.
"Well, you know, I come from an Italian family and we never went to the doctor," the host said. "Maybe that's why!"
To which Perry replied, "Yeah, but you don't want to go to the doctor in Italy, that's the thing. That's a whole different [thing]."
Still, Kimmel contended that there "must be some good doctors in Italy" somewhere.
"No," Perry quipped. "There's good alcohol to make you think there's good doctors in Italy."
